I've raised £7500 to Elsa running the Boston Marathon 2022, for the Samaritans (Boston based)

I'm taking part in the 126th Boston Marathon to raise money for Samaritans, Inc., which do great work, across Massachusetts, for a cause that's very close to my heart. The Samaritans help those struggling by offering services like a help line, but also help those dealing with the loss of a loved one from suicide. Running 26.2 miles will not be easy, so if you can, please donate to my fundraising project on JustGiving!
Across the world, the Samaritans help people when they need it most. The last few years, with the pandemic, have been more challenging than most, and now, more than ever, we need to have good support in place for everyone who may be struggling.
Unfortunately, most young people you will talk to have some experience of suicide. 5 years ago, two friends of mine, Harry and Rachel, sadly took their own lives in the space of 6 months when they were only 16. Being only 16 at the time, I had been fortunate to have not been exposed to suicide before, but since then, my perception of mental health has changed. Awareness of suicide and how to help those suffering needs to increase. Charities like the Samaritans are here to help those suffering from mental health issues and help those dealing with the loss of a loved one.
This is a challenge I am excited to take on, both for myself and those affected by suicide. Any donation, big or small, would be appreciated, as reaching my goal of $10,000 will be a struggle before I even try to run. Thank you!
