Dear Family and Friends
Elsie here!
I hope you are all well. I am writing to let you know that I am fund-raising for an educational expedition to Uganda in Summer 2017. The trip is jointly organised by World Challenge Expeditions and our School Year 11's. The idea of the trip is to organise ourselves as a team of young people and become involved in a community project in Uganda. Examples of project tasks include repairing classrooms, working in vegetable gardens, planning and sharing learning activities to share in schools. We will spend time with local students, getting to know them, sharing stories and games too. One idea is that we promote girls education. Schools in Uganda often struggle to keep pupils coming back to class, especially girls, because of financial family pressures. We will also be trekking as a group.
I will be soon be running the Spartan Obstacle Race in Windsor and welcome any sponsors. All money raised will go towards the Uganda trip. Thank you
