Colin Bolton is a popular club legend at Elswick Harriers and we are excited and proud to be raising money to provide upgraded garden equipment and a specialist Dementia Area at Colin's home - Pavilion Court Care Home.

Colin joined Elswick Harriers as a teenager in 1954.

For the last 66 years, Colin has proudly worn his red Elswick vest, allowing his talent and dedication to athletics to shine through.

Colin achieved international honours as a veteran when he was selected to represent England for the British & Irish Masters Cross country International.

A respected, highly knowledgeable coach, Colin selflessly has coached club athletes for over 30 years and not just Elswick runners. Colin has coached many a fine North East Athlete from other well-known North East Athletics Clubs.

In addition, he held the post of Club Treasurer for over 30 years, not to mention holding the title of Club President and honorary life member.

If there is modern day proponent of Elswick Harriers it is unquestionably Mr. Colin Bolton.

Money raised will be used to replace the garden furniture that Colin uses along with decorating the Dementia area.
