I've raised £5000 to help fund the purchase and installation of new play equipment for children in the community on Elton Jubilee Sports and Recreation Field.

Elton Jubilee Field was founded in 1977 when the village came together to fundraise and purchase the field for the community and wider public to have a safe place for sports, play and recreational activities. The field is a registered charity (no. 507662) and managed by a small committee of volunteer trustees.
Over the past decade the field has undergone a much needed improvement project which aims to replace the dilapidated Pavilion with a state of the art club house and install a new multi use games area and new children’s play area. A massive amount of fundraising has been undertaken over the years from within the village to build the clubhouse and make it a reality. The focus is now turning to purchasing a new children's play area to replace the old one which has been in place for over 20 years.
Images attached show plans that were originally proposed before the Coronavirus pandemic. These plans were costed at £48,000 plus VAT. With money now being tight across all sectors, we are now having plans redrawn for a similar scheme at £25,000. This is still a tall order but more achievable and realistic. We are willing to work tirelessly to raise this amount on behalf of our committee, community and young children.
As well as fundraising through this page, we will be raising funds from within the community and applying for larger grants from other sources. In the meantime, however, this page is an opportunity for you to show your support, contribute what you can and help show community spirit in making this happen. Please help however you can - financially or by spreading the word.
Thank you in advance for any support you give.
