I've raised £10 to help assist our family with funeral/memorial costs and make a donation in Elvio's name to the Blenheim Project charity.

Story

Anyone who wishes to contribute in memory of Elvio Da Silva, this page has been set up for 30days as a platform for those of you who have asked how they may contribute towards helping us (the family) settle costs and make a charitable donation in his honour. We have not put a targeted amount, as we do not want anyone to feel obliged or indeed pressured to do so.

That said - due to the sudden, painfully sad passing of our beloved son and brother, we have found the urgent preparation for his funeral and associated costs overwhelming whilst grieving. So any help towards assisting us in reconciling the remaining costs for the funeral/memorial would be humbly appreciated.

Elvio had registered twice in his life to serve as an organ/tissue donor in death but due to him needing a post mortem - sadly his intentions were not possible. Many of you know that he spent a large proportion of his life battling with addiction but despite all that, and as his donor registry exemplifies, he had a BIG heart to go along with that big personality of his, and would help anyone in need where possible. For this reason we plan to make a charitable donation on his behalf. So, half of any donations raised here will be paid forward to the first addiction service he sought out; the Blenheim Project. A localised charity who continue to work towards improving governmental drug strategies, rehabilitation and support for addicts and their loved ones.

Tragically they, he, nor we, managed to help him rehabilitate completely in life. This way we hope that we can help Elvio in death to see through his intentions to help others, by donating to the Blenheim Project in his name, as a token of thanks to encourage their continued efforts with helping others like him.

Any donation, no matter how small would mean a lot to us. God rest his soul.

Gratefully yours, Da Silva Family

Please Note: after 30 days anything raised here will be withdrawn and a photo of us making that charitable donation to the Blenheim Project will be uploaded for all contributors to see.
