On Sunday 1st March, our captain Shaun Alex Young sadly passed away at the age of 21.

He was a big character within the community of Tonyrefail and he had a massive impact on everyone he met. He was thoughtful of everyone around him and was always there to help others.

Shaun worked hard and loved his job and was the life and soul of the party. Even if he was in work, out with the boys or with his family, he brightened up the room with a big smile on his face and he constantly made people laugh with his silly jokes.

We are fundraising in memory of Shaun Alex Young, the captain of Ely Valley Football Team, a loved son, but most of all a great friend to anyone who was ever part of his life. The money raised will go towards his family, who we all think about at this sad time.

We hope this helps and brings some sort of comfort to his much-loved Dad, to show that he is not alone, and we will support him throughout.

He will be missed by his family, friends, work colleagues, the Ely Valley Football Team and everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
