Story

I am fortunate enough to be part of an exclusive club of dog owners who have adopted from this incredible foundation - Potter, a Siberian Husky who was rescued from Macedonia and came into my life just over two years ago, originally as an emergency foster, but spectacularly failed at it!!
Simply can't imagine my life without this tissue/cuddle monster. Can safely say without a shadow of doubt, he rescued me more than I rescued him ❤️

OEH Foundation/ Sakima's Sanctuary is a non-profit rehabilation and rescue kennels just outside Pressall. Who offer space to other dog rescues as well as their own and do such an incredible job with their time, patience and most importantly love.

Some of the back stories to the poor four legged souls that are lucky enough to end up there from Europe and the UK is just simply heartbreaking and have been brought to tears quite a few times, especially those of my very own monster. Seeing the regular updates on how they are doing and finding their forever home always brings a smile to my face

This amazing foundation is always looking for ways to raise funds and thought I might be able to give back whilst doing this ultra challenge. (For those who don't know, an ultra is classed as anything longer than a marathon distance). This is my biggest challenge to date, but nothing compared to what all the dogs have been through before coming to OEH
