Story

Support us in changing the face of grassroots running

Emancipated Run Crew CIC is a community interest company and virtual running community that aims to increase diversity in grassroots running and encourage black and brown runners to Run Free! 1834 is the year that the Slavery Abolition Act came into force in the UK which lead to the emancipation of enslaved Africans. It is an important year for ERC, which is a community largely made up of the descendants of formerly enslaved and colonised people.

We're celebrating having 16 of our runners participating in the London Marathon by setting £1,834 as a fundraising goal and asking our amazing ERC marathon running warriors to help us raise much needed funds. This will help us to continue our work in supporting black and brown runners to meet and exceed their running goals, as well as helping us to provide access to training opportunities, race events and daily support - giving us funds that will help us to make a difference and further our cause.

With your help, Emancipated Run Crew CIC can reach the goal of £1834 and continue the work we've set out to do as highlighted in this campaign.

Please help if you can. Every donation makes a difference.
