Dear Supporters, the Edinburgh Montessori Arts School is an independent school in Edinburgh offering an authentic Montessori environment for 1-12 year olds, accredited by Montessori Education (UK). At EMAS we are passionate about our personalised and progressive educational approach. Our small school, founded in 2006, is an ideal learning sanctuary in which children learn and grow at their own pace as valued members of our close-knit school community. Our art, drama, dance and music specialists inspire stimulating creative activities in addition to the generous opportunities provided by the Montessori classroom environments. The school had increased in popularity and has welcomed expansion in all age groups over the years.

The idea behind the EMAS Foundation came from an increase in interest among families who are unable to afford the school fees, or existing students having to stop attending due to a change in their parents/guardians financial circumstances. Also, now that the school is past its early years and is operating successfully, the EMAS Foundation intends to establish and support programmes and projects to further both the student's education and other children and their parents who do not otherwise have access to the services of the school in more diverse ways, including community outreach services such as post-natal support, community gardening and social events.
