Story
In December 2021 Adam & Charlie are taking on the "world's toughest rowing race" the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge; a gruelling 3000 mile, unaided ocean row across the Atlantic from La Gomera to Antigua. To date, more people have climbed Everest than have rowed an ocean.
Charlie originally founded the Emergensea Girls with close friend and colleague, Rosie. The initial plan was to race in December 2020, then COVID-19 hit, with work and personal circumstances changing forcing Rosie to step down and hand over the oars to Adam - Team Emergensea Duo was born. Thank you to all those who supported the Emergensea Girls - any previous donations made will also be given to the charities.
They will use the row to further their research into sex differences between male and female physiology and psychology in ultra-endurance events and promote equal participation in sport.
With your help they are hoping to raise £100,000 for essential frontline medical charities; Devon Air Ambulance, RNLI, Mind & RD&E Charity.
