I've raised £800 to help on a volunteer trip abroad helping the poor and those suffering with mental health conditions

The highest rates of suicides in the world are in Sri Lanka. This has been a long term issue for Sri Lanka, with majority of suicide victims aged as young as 15 to 44. Many attempts of suicide are caused by those with a mental health disorder, and those living in rural areas are not getting the sufficient medical attention, especially with the huge problem that is poverty. These huge loss of lives can be prevented given the right support. This is why I want to raise funds to volunteer at a mental health institute in Sri Lanka to support these individuals when they do not feel there lives are worthwhile and to ease them through step by step.
