holding my 7 week old baby and being told you have genetic breast cancer triple negative at 35yr was never in my plans. how cruel was the world I don't want to die I have to be a mum and wife. I had a double mastectomy with tissue expanding implants, Daniel was 11 weeks old. I don't know how we coped but I was determined not to let cancer rule me. I shaved my head ready for chemo and just got on with it. some days I felt so ill but then one of the children would need me and I would think forget about me they need me more. I had my expander s stretched ready for implant exchange but before that I had my ovaries removed for prevention as advised. I have tried to stay positive throughout this illness and except life has changed I am awaiting further reconstruction but would love to be able to take my family to centre parcs and thank them for being so special unlike my mum she didn't survive and we lost her 11yrs ago, love you mum thanks for giving me brca 1 gene. any donations are greatly appreciated but also this is not about me..for once..but for my Joe 12, Ella 7 and baby Daniel 19 months
