Story
Hello,
I came across New Moon rescue when i was looking to give a dog a home. I am asking you to sponsor Margo, who was a stray dog in romania saved by new moon and then driven from romania to my front door so that she can have a better life.
I am asking you to sponsor her progress, everyday we overcome a new challenge...
New moon romanian dog rescue help many dogs tbat are mistreated, strays, never know love only cruelty. All of the workers at newmoon are volunteers that break their back to go out and rescue dogs in need (my margo was one of those dogs.)
They work very hard to match you up with a dog, home checks, answering messages, emails, taking deposits and payments for the dogs, processing paper work, passports, micro chips all ready for you to have tour dog home.
All of the money I raise will be donated to them in order to support all of thw dogs in their care and future dogs in their care...
Margo arrived one week ago... she was petrafied lf everythind and hadn‘t ever been in a house before. This is us at 4am having a little chat & a stoke we sat here for an hour, she didnt know me or trust me.

We got to the living room where she had her chicken and rice to settle her stomach from her 2 days of travelling in new moons happy bus which is kitted out to make the dogs as comfortable as possible! Margo didnt know what her big green bowl was and o had to hand feed her chicken and explain that it wasnt scary!

The next day margo didnt leave her crate, everything was new and she was a little overwhelmed

We worked on trust and with the help of chicken she began to love me! we then went on tk the garden which she wasnt beey happy about!

Margo just had there and so i sat with her...the next day she started putting her paws out of her crate and i realised she didnt like the laminate flooring so we improvised and put down a picnic blanket! Put her bed on it and she started to come out.. she was very sleepy!

To get her back out in the garden i had to move her crate next to the doors so she could look and realise the garden wasnt so scary, i also brushed her and put her fur in the garden so she had a familar smell!

Then i would leave the door to her crate open, and the patio doors and put her slip lead on and then something amazing happened!!!

We got outside and she started to enjoy it!!! Getting her to come back inside took some time and lots of chicken! At this point margo still doesnt leave the living room but does go on her pocnic blanket and out in the garden!
margo then met her dad for the first time, she wasnt to sure what to make of him! With love and patience she started to trust him too!

They became friends..

Margo was VERY smelly so after a fair few days we got her on to the bathroom with sausage!!! She was very worried, once she was in the bath and knew it wasnt anything scary she loved having me wash her and stroke her... when we got out... she was like a different dog!

Margo now knows that the back garden is the toilet and will come in and out when called... she had one accident on her arrival and none since!!!
at dinner time we took up the blanket, if she wanted dinner she needed to walk on the floor to her bowl and guess what SHE DID IT

When left alone (i would leave her for a couple of hour a day to explore in peace and quiet, i head some racket whilst tidying thw garden) she was up on the sofa 😂 i was so proud

Margo still hasnt lef tthe loving room at this point but has started to show me heaps of love!
laminate ✅ food bowl ✅ bath ✅ garden ✅
so what was next? What is out next challenge? Exploring the house... the hallway is next... she is curious already.. i lay on the floor with chicken but she wont leave the thresh hold 🤣

Then i threw some chicken out there and ...

She went just far enough to get her chicken... shes bloody amazing! Without new moon margo would still be on the streets of romania she wouldnt be here with me, safe and loved... she would be fighting for food and water and finding places to sleep... who knows how she would be being treated by humans... instead she is here and im showing her that we arent all bad!
There are hundreds of dogs like margo that arent as lucky as she is.. please sponsor her and her progress so that together we can help new moon help dogs like margo.
i will keep you posted on the next challenge she over comes!!
Thank you for reading margos story... please sponsor... if everyone donated £1 think of how many dogs lives would be changed.
