I've raised £4000 to Help Emily to achieve her dream of competing at the FEI World Para Driving Championships in the Netherlands this August.

Emily is passionate about carriage driving and promoting the sport in spite of her own health issues and disability. She wants nothing more than to have the opportunity to compete her much loved Section D pony Alfie in a World Championship and is thrilled to be picked for the GB squad.
"Unlike other Equestrian disciplines the GBR Paradriving squad does not receive lottery funding and there are no Welsh grants available for talented athletes in this sport. The individual costs of getting to the World Championships are very high and it would be amazing to have some support towards these so I have set up this fundraiser. Any donation, however small, would be hugely appreciated and would greatly help our finances.
If you can donate - thank you very much for helping make my dream come true.
A Bit about Me and My Pony
I was lucky enough to be offered Alfie 11 years ago, when I was looking for a powerful section D pony to take me forward as a young adult in driving trials.
Unfortunately not long after, things took a turn downhill with my health, and for five years I stopped driving. I missed it so much.
In October I was offered a session with Team GB driver Robert Buck and he gave me the confidence I needed to rekindle the fire and passion for my sport!
Alfie is my perfect partner. He is responsive and has adapted so well to retraining as I've had to learn how to adapt to my disability.
I have had invaluable help and encouragement from The GB POD training group and especially Robert Buck, my trainer. Dad has kindly taken me to sessions at his yard in Gloucestershire since October, even through the worst winter weather.
We have built up our confidence and skills steadily over the season. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have and the help I am given.
To be going to the World Championships this year will be a dream come true and I want to thank everyone who has supported. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
