I'm raising £1200 to represent my Scout group at the World Scout Jamboree and experience new cultures, learn new skills, and make lifelong friends.

Story

Hi, my name is Emily and I’m 13 years old.

I’ve been selected to represent Maidstone West District Scouts at the 26th World Scout Jamboree, which will take place in Gdańsk, Poland in summer 2027.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join thousands of Scouts from over 76 countries for an incredible outdoor educational event that promotes cultural understanding, leadership development, teamwork, and personal growth.

I’ve been a Scout since I was six, and Scouting has given me so many amazing experiences. In 2024, I attended the Kent International Scout Jamboree, where I had a lot of fun with other scouts and improved my skills.

Outside of Scouts, I’m studying for my GCSEs, working towards my DofE Bronze Award, volunteering as a Beaver Leader, and I’m passionate about dance—I’ve performed at the Hazlitt Theatre and take lessons 3 times a week.

To attend the World Scout Jamboree, I need to raise £3,600. My district has already pledged £1,200, and I will be working with the other scouts to raise another £1200 as a group, but I still need to raise £1,200 more.

This will help cover travel, kit, training camps, and participation costs.

I’m planning lots of fundraising activities, including local events, seeking sponsorship from businesses, and even doing jobs like dog walking and car washing. I’ll also be sharing my journey on this page so you can see how your support is helping me reach my goal.

This experience will not only give me unforgettable memories but also help me develop resilience, problem-solving, and leadership skills that I can use in Scouts and everyday life.

At the Jamboree, I’ll meet Scouts from all over the world, learn about different cultures and traditions, and bring back everything I learn to inspire others in my community.

Thank you so much for supporting me—every donation, big or small, makes a huge difference. Together, we can make this dream a reality!
