Next February I am going to Sierra Leone, Africa as part of my school's immersion and outreach programme. We will be there for 2 weeks and will be helping and supporting the communities badly affected by the recent Ebola crisis.
During our time there, we will be working in Model School, Bo and orphanages to help teach and support children and young people. The majority of these children's lives have been changed dramatically due to Ebola with many of them losing their entire families.
I know it will be an incredible experience to meet amazing new people and build close relationships with communities I would not otherwise have had the opportunity to meet.
In order to go to Sierra Leone, I have to raise £1600 to fund all expenses. This includes all travel and accommodation costs. I have been fundraising in a variety of ways and I am taking part in a 10k running race in Trentham on August 6th 2017. I am looking for sponsors for this event and would be most grateful for any donations towards my target.
