Story

Hi, I’m Emily. A Mum of 2 and an assistant headteacher at a Primary School in Watford. I must be crazy as I have signed up to run the 2025 London Marathon!

I am running in support of an amazing, local charity @Mission Employable. They are an independent charity that work with people who have special educational needs. Their mission is to train their interns at their café in Chorleywood Common, allowing them to gain skills and confidence that will benefit them in the world of work, whilst being valued in the workplace and playing an active role in their local communities.

A close friend of my family was employed as an intern at the café, and his experience there has helped him greatly! The skills and knowledge he has taken away from his time at Mission Employable, gave him the drive and confidence to pursue full time employment, where he is now thriving! The support and help provided by the charity has been invaluable for him and incredible for his family and loved ones to witness, so when it came to choosing a charity to support, it was an easy decision!

Please donate all you can to support them (and me running) so Mission Employable can keep changing the lives of these special young people!
