Story

Almost a year ago I lost a good friend, Emily Price, completely unexpectedly at the young age of 22. Emily was passionate about many things including science, politics and sports. Something that Emily was most proud of was her involvement in public engagement activities during her time as an undergraduate at Aberystwyth University. Emily was an extremely kind and giving person and she cared deeply about encouraging more women to come into STEM subjects.

To honour Emily's memory the university has been able, thanks to a generous bequest, to set up a scholarship to help the next generation of Maths and Physics students coming to Aberystwyth University. Details of this will come shortly in an update.

Emily would have gone on to do a lot of good in her life, we had grand plans for things to do together as she embarked on her postgraduate journey, unfortunately we didn't have time. The fund will be a starting point to build from the loss that everyone who met Emily feels.

This page will be used to put together money from different fundraising efforts that will take place. Starting with a dog de-stress session during the exam period. Emily loved puppy days, as seen in the picture below, it is definitely something that she would have been fully behind.
