Story

This is Grace, she will be 3 in September and has had 3 operations with the NHS and the latest in August. She is currently recovering and in a wheelchair, she’s doing really well and will be back to her self and running around again by the end of September!

After being born at Bristol hospital, and having her first operation she was in the neonatal intensive care unit at Bristol. We were provided with accommodation at Ronald McDonald house, right next to the hospital - free of charge - through the Ronald Mcdonald Children’s Charity. We could be close to Grace at all times, and didn’t have to spend hundreds of pounds on hotels and transport. I don’t know what we would have done without it! It’s especially fantastic for the families that have to stay for months on end! So, next time you’re in McDonald’s please pop your spare change in the box by the tills, as that money goes towards building and maintaining the Ronald McDonald houses, keeping parents close to their unwell children. Creating a ‘home away from home’.

The accommodation was amazing, and the nurses and surgeons have been so caring and supportive with Graces care, that we would like to give something back.

We are raising money and taking part in the Noah’s Ark Children’s charity 10K walk; and want raise as much money as possible so the NHS can continue and improve on their equipment, accommodation and care. Enabling them to support the 73,000 children needing specialist and life-saving treatment every year.

Any sponsorship little or large would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
