Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
In August 2017 myself and a group of 28 others explorer scouts and leaders are traveling to Uganda to build a kitchen for a Ugandan lady who cooks for over 200 school children every day on a mud floor, using no utensils, only her hands, and a small fire in the corner of the area. We aim to make her life easier as well as benefiting the local schoolchildren who rely solely on her for their main meal of the day, which is at school. The majority of the money will go towards building materials, but it will also be spent on flights, scout insurance and camping costs. We are also hoping to build a borehole for the local village to provide them with clean water.
Any sponsorship to make this possible would be gratefully received.
