Weʼve raised £571 to fund a mission trip to Rwanda, bringing hope, friendship and joy to children still affected by the genocide of the early 90s.

    Story

In 1994 Rwandan families were devastated by a nationwide genocide in which over a MILLION people were killed.

Families were devastated as children lost parents and parents lost children.

The whole infrastructure of the country was damaged.

    Schools couldn't function anymore.

    Shops had no food.

An already poor country became almost irreversibly broken.

But I want to make a difference.

And I want to give you the opportunity to make a difference too.

I have been offered the chance to go to Rwanda in February next year, to spend some time making a difference in the lives of children who are growing up in a country that is still reeling from the effects of the slaughter.

I will be helping in local schools, bringing friendship, laughter and, most importantly, hope to the children of Rwanda.

Along with the rest of the group, I will be sharing my time, my faith and will be making a positive impact in the lives of the people I meet.

I want you to be part of my journey.

In fact, I can't do this without you.

I know you probably get many requests from all sides. I know it can be hard to know what charitable causes will benefit most from your money. I know that what you really want is to know that your money is making an impact; that what you give is creating a legacy that will last far longer than the actual money itself.

You see, truth is, many large charities spend so much money on administration costs, advertising, and other overheads, that very little of the money you donate actually goes to helping the people you are looking to help.

In some cases, it can be as low as 15% of your donation actually going to the cause itself.

Here's what I can guarantee you:

Anything you donate will go directly towards the cost of getting me to Rwanda and towards providing material that will allow me to help the children I will be spending time with.

There are three deadlines I need to be able to hit in order to go:

    Target 1: £175 by 1st May 2018:

This will allow me to put a deposit down, securing my place on the trip.

    Target 2: A further £700 by 15th August 2018

This will allow me to buy the plane ticket and secure some accomodation.

    Target 3: A further £650 by 1st November 2018

This will allow me to pay for accommodation and buy materials and resources for the children I will be working with.

I know you want to make a difference with your money.

I know you want your work to change the world.

So, I am offering you the opportunity to invest in a way that will bring returns both in Rwanda and here in the UK.

As you help to send me to the other side of the world you will be allowing me to grow into who I was made to be as well as bringing hope, joy, and love to the beautiful children of Rwanda.

So, click on the "Donate" button now and know that you are making an enormous difference in my life and in the lives of the forgotten children of Rwanda.
