I've raised £2500 to help the Mitchell family, who sadly lost their husband and father earlier this year, meet their immediate and longer-term needs.

Story

For over 30 yrs Stephen Mitchell dedicated his life to helping Glasgow's homeless and marginalised population through his work with charitable organizations, most latterly Lodging House Mission.

As a committed Christian, his faith and belief in God shaped his adult life and work ethic. He knew the importance of developing relationships with people and supporting them to know their intrinsic worth and value regardless of how society might view them.

He was married to Eileen for nearly 25 years and father to their 4 amazing children. His sudden passing has come as a devastating shock to them all.

Eileen, herself a university graduate skilled in languages, has devoted her married life to supporting Stephen with his career, while raising and home educating their children. Despite the busyness of her own family life Eileen always makes time for others. She has spent many hours over the past year writing notes and letters to her friends and family to encourage them during these turbulent times. She is gracious, hard-working, loving, and kind.

Her friends have collectively decided to do what they can to help support the family at this difficult time. This fundraiser has been set up to help them meet their immediate and longer-term needs with the funds going directly to them to use as required.

Please, give what you can to help them through this difficult time as they adjust to the terrible loss of their husband and father. Many thanks.
