Our names are Emma (aged 16) and Lucy (aged 13) and we are members of the Billingborough and Horbling Scout Group.

We have been selected to go to the 2019 World Scout Jamboree which will be held in August 2019 in West Virginia, America. Although this will be an amazing experience, it will also be educational as we will be learning about many different cultures and valuable skills for the future.

We will also be spending time in a city (probably Washington DC).

Lastly we will stay with a Scout Group so that we get to see the way in which Scouting is different in another country.

We were selected by attending a weekend camp where we were put through various tests and observations along with lots of other children from Lincolnshire. We have already held a number of fundraising events and will continue to do so.

However, we still have to fund the trip ourselves, the cost of which is £4300 each.

Any financial help towards our fundraising efforts would be greatly appreciated as this is a huge amount of money to raise alone for our once in a lifetime opportunity.
