In 2024 I was diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time in 10 years and unfortunately it's now incurable and I want to create a lasting legacy to help local families in need 🎗

In August we held a festival to bring together family and friends (EmFest) and it was such an amazing event we plan to hold it annually with my family and friends continuing the tradition when I'm gone 😇

I'm passionate about helping community, especially families with children who are in difficulty and I see EmFest as an opportunity to raise funds to help provide local Fenland families with paying bills, buying shopping essentials or maybe clothes for their kiddies, etc 💰. I do not want to create a charity where fees and overheads are skimmed off but I want 100% of donations to go to these families by working with community leaders to ensure the money goes exactly where it's needed most 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I never knew my paternal Nan, Edith Waterfield, like me she had breast cancer twice and died 9 months before I was born. Everyone who knew her said what a wonderful woman she was. She was Mum to 10 children and had very little, but my Dad adored her and she is the one person I wish I'd get my 10 minutes on a bench with 🩷 So I would really like to call our fundraising pot "Edith's purse" in tribute to the lovely lady who is my Nan and I'm hoping that the money from it will go on to help local Fenland families with school age children for many years to come 🥰

You will be able to donate on the night at EmFest which will next be held in Summer 2025 or anytime if you wish to by contacting us, but to kick start it I'm asking for donations to mark the occasion of my 49th birthday 🎂 next month (November 2024) in the hope we can help a family in time for Christmas 🎅
