Story

I have wanted to be a vet since I was five, and plan to apply for Veterinary Medicine at University in Oct 2019, I hope to go on an expedition to Dominica in the Caribbean to volunteer to collect data required for research projects looking at the biodiversity and climate change on the island. I will focus on the: local bird life, forest structure, reptiles and bats habitats, and the impact of the acidity of the sea on the Reef. I will also help set up a marine education site on the north of the island. This expedition would offer me an insight into academic studies of biodiversity, as well as assist the people of Dominica which was hit by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Additionally this expedition would offer me a wider international experience compared to the volunteering I am doing now in the UK.

I need to raise £3000 to be able to go on this expedition, so any help you can give me will be greatly recived.
