When I decided to run the English Half Marathon it was because I wanted to set myself a personal goal, and to prove that I could do it. Since then, I have been asked by a few people if I was raising money for anything, and if they could sponsor me. As treasurer of Cinnamon Brow PTFA I have spent much of the past year involved in fundraising for our school and taking care of the finances. As most people are aware, all of our schools are struggling with funding and any help is very much appreciated. Our main goal for fundraising is currently to provide the school with the means to buy some new, quality reading books for the school library. I think it is so important that our children are encouraged to read and we have the opportunity to foster a lifelong love of reading by providing them with quality texts at primary school. With this in mind, I have decided to ask for donations towards this aim from anyone who would like to sponsor my half marathon. I am incredibly grateful for any donation and would like to thank all my friends for their support and encouragement.
