I've raised £200 to Fetal Medicine Unit RVI

I am running the Great North Run again this year to raise awareness for the Fetal Medicine Unit at the RVI Newcastle for the families who are reffered to this specialist unit. A close friend of mine has experienced the support from the fetal medicine unit recently & having watched her family go through this, I would like to help support the unit by providing comfort to the families referred here.
‘There are less then 20 fetal medicine centres in England’ Fetal medicine is a branch of medicine that focuses on managing health concerns of the mother and fetus prior to, during, and shortly after pregnancy. Unfortunately, they also deal, help & support parents who go through the loss of a child.
‘Most pregnancies result in the birth of a healthy baby but for some women developments may occur that need more specialist help. The fetal medicine unit is staffed by highly qualified obstetricians and midwives. We provide specialist care for pregnant women from all over the North of England.who have been diagnosed with a suspected fetal abnomality following detailed ultrasound scanning‘.
The unit will greatly appreciate any donations as will I.
