I've raised £200 to help get equipment for Cory's Walk of Life and funds for The Glam Youth Choir to keep giving musical opportunities for children locally.

I have been asked what I would like for my 50th Birthday. Well, I'd like to help two causes that are very dear to me and hold a special place in my heart. Both are connected through Music. Music had been a very large part of my life - always. From standing on a chair singing 'My Old Man' at OAP dinners at around 4 years old to singing in Choirs in Church and at School and countless weddings pretty much every Saturday, fund-raising concerts, Christmas parties etc through much of my childhood. I sang in College and was responsible for Music in school when I was teaching. After the Classroom door closed behind me, I started running Music Sessions for Babies & Toddlers as Mimi's Melodies and there I met a very inspirational young boy who utterly stole my heart the very first time I saw him - Cory Wood . Cory has very complex needs and requires expensive, specialist equipment and therapy to help him to reach all those things we see as simple, usual childhood milestones. I would dearly love to help him with some of these goals. Time marches on and now my next generation is also singing in concerts across the local area with the assistance of The Glam Youth Choir - run by volunteers on a shoestring budget, for free, all to offer musical opportunities for children in this area. I would also like to help these beautiful young voices keep this Land Of Song singing. Any money that you donate before my birthday party will be split between these two causes so close to my heart. If you are not fussed on the Online method and are coming to my Party then don't worry - there'll be a Collecting Bucket on the Bar!! 😉😝🎶
