I have spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I have had a pressure sore for 15 years now and I've just come out of hospital after 8 months because of the pressure sore. In hospital I was on the highest range of specialised mattress called a sidhill Athena low airloss mattress. On this mattress my pressure sore really did improve. Now I am home I'm not able to get hold of this mattress through the community therefore I'm having to raise funds to buy myself one but this is quite hard with being on benefits. I would very much appreciate any kind of contribution however big or small.
