Story

We lost our Yorkie Toby at 15 back in July this year.. As a family we struggled without him, so we found someone who was rehoming a 3 month old Cavapoo due to her older Yorkies not taking well to him she didn't feel it was fair to keep him. We went to see him and felt he chose us. We had never seen a little puppy take so well to anyone before and we all fell in love with him. He settled so well and so quickly with us it felt like he had always been there.

At 4 months he was booked into the vets for a general health check and they said he was perfect in every other thing but he seemed to have a problem with this willy that the vets (both of them on site) had never seen before. He didn't have a "propper" opening, all he seems to have was a pin prink hole meaning when he was doing a wee he thought he had finished and was still dribbling for a few minutes after. The vet referred us to the hospital but they wanted 2,500 just to see him which seemed a lot to pay to just look at him. We decided to ring round the local vets to see if anyone had seen / dealt with this before. We found one and they operated and made the hole bigger for him.

10 days in and 3 visits back to the vets and he has the stitches out and i mentioned how the last 3 days he is "dribbling" a lot again after being completely fine. They check little Tango over and tell me the hole has healed up so we are back to square one 😢

They are wanting to send him to a hospital, but i had already had a quote of 2,500 just to see him and assess him initially which is why we went with the vets. They tell me the only other option would be to get him put to sleep. We are distraught as the insurance wont pay out for a birth defect but we cannot find this sort of money especially with the operation and aftercare he will need.

We are still struggling with the loss of Toby and now having to deal with the fact we may have to have him put down or pay thousands for another surgery (which we don't have) which may not work.

We are looking for help for this little boy to give him the medical attention he needs so we can set out to do what we wanted and that was to give him a loving home where he is one of the family.
