I've raised £6500 to My Dad who has cancer and needs direct access to own facilities when here with us for respite during chemotherapy.

My dad is 80. He had bladder cancer and fought it. He now has bowel cancer. He had the tumour removed and is now having chemotherapy 2 days every 2 other week until spring 2018. He is off his food has sickness and diarrhoea. He loves coming to stay with us for respite each time in between as he likes to get away from his worries and for my chef husband to cook for him. He also plans to come to stay with us for Christmas. He used to sleep in one of the kids beds but due to his sleep and pain issues this is no longer suitable. The problem is that we have no spare bedroom or a separate bathroom which he obviously needs for privacy and infection control. We had a quote to convert our garage and its nearly £10 ooo We simply cannot get the money! No bank or credit cars will lend us the money and the speed we need to do this makes it impossible that we could do this in time. The whole conversion of this 14 ft by 15 ft space would take 6 weeks to do and he would be mid chemotherapy and worse symptoms and may even move in. I want this for him so much and just wish we could do the work or have the money to do it but feel helpless. If you can build or plumb or want to help financially please help
Yours Emma
