Hi! Thank you very much for visiting my page :)

On Sunday 15th October 2017 I will be running the Birmingham International Marathon, my 1st ever marathon! If you happen to have known me at school, running a marathon is probably the last thing you would think I was capable of! However after doing C25K a few years ago I decided that I would run a marathon before I'm 30, which turned out to creep up a lot sooner than expected! Excited, terrified, impossible are all emotions that I am thinking about on a regular basis now, but I know that with support I can do it :)

I would love the opportunity to use this as a fundraising (and motivation) to raise money for 2 fantastic causes. I will be dividing the money equally between the Alzheimer's Society and Julie's Rare Cancer Fund.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia, a disease noone should ever have to have or support someone through. Julie, has a very aggressive rare form of cancer - sarcoma and needs expensive medical treatment abroad so she can gain more precious time with her sons Matt, Dan, and Mike and family and friends who love her dearly. As someone who knows the family, I would love to be able to raise money to help towards her medical costs and give her the best chance possible of having treatment to help her.
