Fundraiser for James and The Jackson Family

Many of you will have seen our recent posts and fundraising activities for our dear friend James, who, at just 36, is living with stage 4 oesophageal cancer.

Following James’s latest scan, the family received the devastating news that his cancer has progressed significantly. His medical team is considering whether any suitable clinical trials may be available, while the family is also exploring other treatment options that could potentially help him.

James and Ann Marie got married just last year and have two young boys. Our aim is to raise as much as possible to help them explore every treatment option available to James and to help with the wider expenses that a cancer diagnosis can place on a family.

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

*Community Fundraiser* :* Saturday 10 October from 4pm at Lorimers in Bishopton. Everyone is welcome to come along and support the event. We would also like to thank Kenna at Lorimers for her help and support.

*Kiltwalk* : A group of Ann Marie’s close friends completed a Kiltwalk and dedicated the donations raised to the Jackson family.

**Ranfurly Castle Golf Tournament* Friday 18 September, £320 per four-ball. Please contact Charlie Conway on 07969 346004 for further details. All money raised will be donated to the Jackson family.

*Ironman* : On Sunday 4 October, Phil Gillan will take on an Ironman competition in Texas, USA, dedicating the event to James and the Jackson family to raise awareness and support.

*Little Pandas Nursery** Fundraiser: Little Pandas Nursery will also be holding a fundraiser, with the event either being a boozy bingo night or a chance to win one month’s free nursery fees.
