I have had Jake for 16 years. He is a Shire x Irish Draft and is the sweetest,most kind and genuine horse I have every known . He is a gentle giant who had never harmed one person in all the years I have had him. He is now having to be medicated as he has an issue with pain in his back legs. Unfortunately I cannot afford to sustain the payment for the pain relief and am having to consider having him put to sleep. Having had cancer myself last year and having to have considerable time off work, I ended up in financial difficulty myself. I feel I am letting him down as he is still eating etc and grazing happily with his friends in the retirement paddock.
