Story

Nine months ago Maddie was diagnosed with bone cancer and has since endured a number of operations and months of chemotherapy. Recently, she has had to have her leg amputated and now faces the challenges of learning to walk again, to become an independent 14 year old. Maddies parents have converted their home so Maddie can move around, shower and go back to being a teenager again. As a family friend I wanted to help support Maddie, so in March myself and four other ladies decided to swim 150km over 7 days, unfortunately that challenge is on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, so ive decided to particpate in a new challenge. I am participating in a virual run from Lands End to John O’groats, some 875 miles, completing it in less than 10 weeks, to raise funds for Maddie Tallis Amos have lent her a gator which will enable her to get about and look after her horse and other animals, i want to gelp her keep that Gator so she can be independent.
