Story

I'm raising £600

In the blink of an eye, this family have had their lives turned upside down.

Carl, an avid Coventry City fan who follows the team both home and away, fell on his way into the West Bromwich Albion game on Wednesday, 11th December. Unfortunately, the fall broke his c4 vertebrae damaging the spinal cord, and at present, he is in hospital with reduced movement from the neck down.

The plan at the moment is to keep Carl on the specialist ward in Birmingham for the next six weeks, aiming to hopefully transfer him to the specialist spinal rehabilitation centre in Oswestry

This just giving page is to help assist the family with the extra every day expenses and for future costs that may occur, such as increased travel and overnight accommodation.

Carls family, Partner Leanne, and children Maisie 15 and Finn 11 face many months of travel expenses due to Carl being the only driver in the family. Rail fares to visit Carl average around £10 per day, per person.

Maisie, who is fully committed to her swimming, relied on her dad to take her to and from classes in the early hours before school and again in the evening, now requiring taxis.

Finn, also a lover of football training 3 times a week with matches at the weekends, also needs to rely on public transport and friends helping where possible.

The rehabilitation journey will be long and hard. We are grateful for any donations you make to support this family.
