I've raised £1500 to put 2 more people through training and to help to make our promo video (so we can reach more people!)

Mindfulness gave me the strength and confidence to slow down and take things one step at a time. This helped me avoid a total mental breakdown and the financial ruin I would have faced if I couldn’t work.
Whilst I was learning the technique it struck me how much easier life would have been if I’d learnt these skills at a younger age. I knew then that I had to find a way of empowering children with this knowledge and understanding.
Fast forward a year and I had a daily practice which has improved all areas of my life, in particular my focus, drive and confidence. I am now fully trained to teach children this technique and really believe it has the power to change lives!
Working with children aged 7-11yrs gives a unique opportunity to help before anxious ways and negative self-talk creeps in. The metal health of our teenagers is a growing concern and the stats are scary. Rather than offer services that try and fix problems, mindfulness is proactive and provides tools for use throughout life.
So m1nd (one mind) was born and we’re on a mission to spread the benefits of mindfulness! Research from the MiSP study shows;
‘’A well conducted course can improve the mental, emotional, social and physical health and wellbeing of young people who take part. It has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, reactivity and challenging behaviour, improve sleep and self-esteem, and bring about greater calmness, relaxation, the ability to manage behaviour and emotions, self-awareness and empathy.’’

We teach 30-minute sessions across a 12-week period. The sessions can be delivered in the classroom and work best if the entire class (including the teacher) is involved. We leave everyone with the skills and knowledge to continue the practice. The more the practice happens, understanding and control of emotions increases. If we can deliver this course to every class in a school, it has the potential to transform the entire school and everybody in it!
We hope to spark a change, so please become part of our journey and share what we’re about. We hope you’ll help us by simply spreading the word, reaching out and starting that conversation.
We would love to grow a network of volunteers to support and help achieve our goals. If you have any spare time and would like to get involved, it would be great to hear from you.
Our vision is big but sadly our pockets are small. I’m currently funding this mission with the creative work that lead to mindfulness (www.creat1ve.co.uk) If you’d like to make a donation so we can continue to grow and develop our plans, you can do so here…
Thank you so much!
