Story

Hammerton Court is a dementia hospital who cared for my dad Stanley until he sadly passes away March 31st 2017. Stanleys wife and children want to do something for the residents still at the unit. Alzheimers and Dementia should not be a prison sentence, while they dont recognise your face they may remember places or a smell or music, which is why we are raising with the help of friends, family and the wider community a total of £15,000 for their very own minibus to be able to take the residents out on day trips, drive in the country, fish and chips at the coast. We have so far raised almost £6000 so our total on this giving page has been reduced to £9,000. Please help us to help other people with Alzheimers and Dementia, this will benefit any person who goes through this unit, one day it could be YOU!!! This is in memory of Stanley Matthews which is why our fundraising is called 'Stanley's Story' 💛💚
