Story

Whilst travelling across Thailand my partner and I came across this little shelter in Phuket named ‘The Bodhi shelter’. They take in abandoned and abused dogs, feed them, provide treatment, shelter and pay for any required vet care.

Seeing the work and love that they give to these animals is amazing. They rely solely on donations and as you can imagine, the cost of food, treatment and shelter fees are very high so they are always in need of people kindly making donations to help them keep their amazing shelter running.

To help raise money for this I have arranged a 13.01-mile dog walk for myself, family, friends and four legged fur babies, which will be starting in Hindley and finishing up on Winter Hill, Rivington. I hope that we can raise as much money as possible, so any donations big or small will be greatly received and much appreciated.

The shelter also appreciates external help: if you are ever visiting Phuket, volunteers can go and bath the dogs, socialise and play with them. If you’re looking to adopt from a shelter, transportation can be arranged to some countries. (you must contact the shelter before arriving to arrange this)

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and we hope that you would like to contribute to this amazing organisation and help us reach our target.

If everyone can give a little we will get there in no time.
