Story

Hi there, my name is Emma Pittuck, and I've been selected by my School to go on a 'Once in a lifetime' trip to Ghana, Africa to help underprivileged children. Whilst I am there I'll be helping to teach them English and Maths, doing PE with them and also helping to repair their damaged classrooms.

To go, I have to raise £1800- and I've been doing charity bakes, Boot Sales and even making table decorations for my Uncle's wedding! But the biggest thing I'm doing is cycling from London to Paris in 5 days with my Dad and some leaders and Explorer Scouts from my troop - Robert, Oran, Connor, Amelia and Erin are all coming along too!

We leave from the London Eye on Sunday19th August and arrive at the Eiffel Tower the following Thursday- we're all very excited as we have to take everything with us; Tents, Sleeping Bags, Stoves, Saucepans... if it doesn't fit on our bikes- it doesn't come; We're cycling between 6 and 7 hours every day.

I know there are lots of people doing lots of fundraising, but this is so special to me as only 20 pupils can go and nearly 200 applied, so I'm really lucky.

if you are able to sponsor me, that would be lovely, if not, thanks very much for taking the time to read about my trip.

We will be posting messages on this site to keep you updated!

Thanks very much.

love Emma.
