Story

I'm taking on the 26.2 mile challenge to raise money and awareness for ITP a rare autoimmune disorder that has deeply affected someone I love, my Mum ❤️

ITP affects the blood's ability to clot. In people with ITP, the immune system mistakenly attacks platelets, the cells that help stop bleeding. This can lead to bruising, excessive bleeding, and other serious health risks.🏃

If you'd like to support me on this journey whether through a donation, spreading awareness, or just cheering me on, I'd be deeply grateful.

All the money will be given to Birch and Bracken ward at Derriford Hospital where my Mum receives treatment and will be used to improve research, treatment options and support for those living with ITP.

I wouldn't really consider myself a runner so this challenge is huge for me. I managed to complete the Plymouth Half Marathon a few months ago and promised myself if I could that I would enter a full marathon, how stupid was that?

So now I'm committed. I wont be fast I can promise you that but, I will do my best. Hopefully my two daughters will be running it (way ahead of me upfront), if they both recover from injuries they have recently developed.

Wish me luck, I really need it!
