Over this Christmas, I wanted to do something to give back to the community. As you may know, Sri Lanka was affected by Cyclone Ditwah that has devastated communities across the country. It was the deadliest weather disaster since the 2004 Tsunami, killing more than 640 people. Over 30,000 homes have been destroyed and hundreds remain missing after deadly floods & landslides.

The people of Sri Lanka are now trying to rebuild and rehabilitate.

Our emergency services have been overextended, and healthcare is struggling without crucial tools & machinery to care for people who have been injured with the extensive flooding. Over 30 hospitals have been impacted by this and are struggling to get what they need.

In order to help in anyway I can, I’m hoping to raise funds to help provide a patient monitor and its tools for a hospital that needs it most.

Medical equipment is hard to come by and can be very expensive for communities in Sri Lanka, but I hope to raise as much as I can.

I’m aiming to raise £6800.00 (Rs. 2.8 million) which can help provide 5 patient monitors, syringe pumps & infusion pumps, which can be distributed to various hospitals.

Of course, this is a big ask but I would like to ask that if you can donate in way you can, big or small, I would really appreciate it.

The funds will be directly deposited to the medical suppliers who will distribute these machines.
