Story
We believe leaving the EU will be a disaster for Staffordshire and the UK. It is four years since the EU referendum and the world is now very different. There is consistent evidence from polling data that a majority of the public now want to remain in the EU and think the decision to leave was a mistake. A decade of Austerity, the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, increasing inequality within society as highlighted by Black Lives Matter protests, and the plummeting popularity of the Johnson government have left people feeling disillusioned and angry.
Our aim is to reach out to people across the political divide who agree with us that we deserve better than this, and want to us to continue close cooperation with the EU and ultimately to reverse Brexit or rejoin and reform the EU.
The best way of reaching people outside of our own 'bubble', is using targeted advertising on social media. We have proved this approach in recent campaigns on farming and pausing the transition period, where each campaign reached over 50,000 carefully targetted people in Staffordshire for a modest investment (around £250 per campaign).
We have a well-developed campaign strategy for the next 6 to 12 months but need funding to make it happen. Can you help by contributing a few pounds?
We will provide regular updates on our campaigning via social media, our web site (EMStaffs.UK) and through regular (online) meetings.
Anything you can spare will make a massive difference to our campaign in Staffordshire, and nationally through our affiliation with the European Movement UK.
Thank you!
