What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

Enfield Refugee Welcome formed in response to the Syrian crisis and is the first Community Sponsorship group in the country to give the opportunity of a new life to a family of refugees through the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme. Enfield’s first family, a mother and her children, has arrived and is settling well, supported by local volunteers. We are now applying to the Home Office for a second family and need to raise £4,500 to apply for each adult to be resettled. The Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme helps refugees in the greatest need, including people requiring urgent medical treatment, survivors of violence and torture, and women and children at risk.

We are supported by Citizen UK’s national refugee welcome programme. Caritas, a Westminster Diocese charity supporting social action, is our charity partner, (a Home Office requirement). http://www.enfieldrefugeewelcome.org/
