A statement from the school (available on the website) Due to extensive criminal damage last night between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, we have no option than to close the academy for all children except Y6 (Going to Head Office) on Monday 14th May. This decision has not been taken lightly, but the safety of our pupils and staff are our first priority. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to minimise disruption. Just and update for you.... Approximately 42 windows have been smashed in the school and also skylights damaged, the broken glass has found its way into almost everything resulting in additional cleaning costa from a professional cleaning contractor, as you can imagine, every shard of glass will need to be picked up due to it being in a school full of young vunerable people. I have heard people mention the council will pay for it, this is not the case as this is not a council run school. Insurance will cover some of the repairs.
