I've raised £250 to Continue building a community school and farm in Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda, namely get a roof on the volunteers restaraunt!

Whilst travelling through Uganda, I was touched at both how happy but how difficult life was for the villagers and wanted to find a way to help directly.
I visited a few schools and kept in touch with teacher who I know help to run a small organic farm and school for his village – state funding for schools and welfare is limited (GDP per capita is $615) and none of the work the small community does receives government funding, so small donations make a huge impact to the lives and education of the children.
This year we have built toilets for the children, bought a canoe to get them across the lake to school and buying machetes to help farm vegetables to sell to buy textbooks.
We aim to raise £2000 to build some brick buildings for the smaller children so we can separate the classes into age groups and provide warmth and shelter from poor weather.
Any help, even a few pounds goes a long way!
Thank you
