Story
Off The Record is a Youth Mental Health Charity, that receives only 6% of the 13% of NHS money funded for mental health. This Charity has only recently relocated its headquarters, which are in dire need of refurbishment including the need of a lift for disabled-youth to take up the four stories the building contains. One of our social action projects is a Stay Awake from 8pm-8am to raise money and awareness of Insomnia. With this money we are hoping to buy new furniture and craft supplies for Off The Record, aswell as allowing more young people to access a councilling service and receive an emergency session if need be. I am very passionate about this Charity and decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health. This charity and area of funding has been significantly neglected, despite the fact that our social life, work, sleep routine and health all rely on our mental wellbeing, I hope this issue can be tackled and a sector of it can be helped with our charity funding. Thankyou for reading x
