    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Overcoming poverty in not a task of charity, it is in fact an act of justice”

Poverty is not natural as rightfully said by the late Nelson Mandela.
The poverty vicious cycle can be broken. It takes a few individuals to intentionally make the decision to intervene. Join me to build towards improving literacy for the Muyambi School children, with enough books to read and enough exposure to resources these kids could reach the heights we all have reached and beyond.

I used to 14km a day barefooted to and from school, sharing a textbook between 4-6 kids, doing home work was not possible for no book could be taken home; all work was done and competed in school. Two classes shared the same classrom and still do today. There is no access to resources, how can 2016 be worse than 1980?
Sadly, this scenario remains as it was more than 30years ago, worsened by the hard economic challenges the kids have no hope breaking away from this perpetual cycle of poverty. Does it have to stay the same? Of course, not.
I am one of the lucky ones, I am the one who got away, I got my first decent exposure to a library at the age of 12, today I can do more than read and write, I can make a difference. I can advocate for those not able to cry out to the world.
To date over 4000 books have been gathered ready to ship to Zimbabwe. Our challenge is shipping fees and the construction of the library.
Lets join forces and resources to ensure we make it possible. Let's ensure the books reach their intended destination, lets build a shelter for these resources. Generously donate towards this cause, yes together we can make a difference.

We have a choice, a choice to equip, promote, innovate and create opportunities. As EPIC1 Foundation we aim to promote education; facilitate the community to improve their livelihoods. As a result the communities will become independent and able to ensure the next generation gets to only hear about poverty rather than experience poverty.
