We are Equine Gentling, a herd of 13 horses that have been rescued or re-homed to us. Many of our herd had been deemed unmanageable or dangerous and would have been put to sleep if we hadn’t taken them in.

Update 19 September 2022: Thank you so much for helping us to reach our initial target of £800 to buy hay for our herd during the prolonged drought. We are truly grateful, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. All of your donations went straight to feed the herd and they are happy and well. We have now found some short term grazing to move to, and need a little help to get there. The horsebox hire to get our lovely herd to the new location is £250 and we need £230 to worm the herd so they are all ready for their temporary home.

Any donation you can make to help us cover these costs will make an enormous difference to our ability to feed and nurture our horses and continue their rehabilitation.

As you all know, not having a suitable home where people can easily and regularly visit our herd means that we have had to make the difficult decision to close to visitors. The loss of our visitors' donations means things are harder than ever.

Our horses graze as conservation horses do, on a rotation program that sees us moving between sites once the land needs resting, and we return when the land is ready. Due to circumstances beyond our control we are in urgent need of land to move to in around 6 weeks.
