I've raised £500 to Oral Care for Developing Countries

In October I am embarking on a 2 week volunteering trip to Nepal as part of a group of dental health professionals to provide oral care to over 3000 local people. We are setting up a dental camp in a remote school to perform examinations, basic pain relief dentistry, restorative treatments, extractions and preventative dentistry. We will also train local health care workers in oral care practic so they can teach the local community in days to come and run extensive oral health education talks in local schools.
We will not have the facilities that we are used to in the UK and will be working long days to be able to make a difference to these people in need. We will live in the same conditions that the locals live in and do everything we can to make our patients lives that little bit better.
If you can donate anything at all it will make a huge difference to these people who have so much less than us. Your money will go towards oral hygiene items, dental chairs for us to safely treat patients in, dental equipment and oral hygiene educational items. We hope to not just make a difference whilst we are there, but to leave behind the knowledge for the next generation to prevent many oral diseases.
